Theoretical-practical dry course
The increasing accessibility of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) platforms is creating a growing need to train individuals capable of analyzing these results. ScRNA-seq data analysis requires new approaches, as assumptions from bulk RNA-seq experiments cannot be applied. This course will illustrate issues that can be addressed by scRNA-seq and discuss the most appropriate computational and statistical methods for scRNA-seq analysis.
The course aims to provide participants with skills to:
- Understand the basic concepts of scRNA-seq data analysis
- Use the scRNA-seq Seurat data workflow
- Process and analyze scRNA-seq data, including cell classification, identification of specific cell populations, integration, and batch correction
- Measure gene expression dynamics at the single-cell level
- Perform gene set enrichment analysis, characterize cell-cell interactions, and analyze cellular trajectories
- Conduct TCR analysis and multiome integration
- Recognize the importance of scRNA-seq data analysis in driving discovery and innovation in medicine, biology, and biotechnology
