Theoretical-practical dry course
The increasing complexity of data obtained by multidimensional flow cytometry requires more and more frequently the replacement of traditional manual gating strategies with analytical approaches that allow automatic identification of cell populations. This course aims to provide participants with the necessary skills to analyze flow cytometry data with appropriate computational methods. The program will include lectures, where the evolution of multiparametric flow cytometry and its application to important biomedical fields will be illustrated, and interactive sessions in an informatics room where each participant will analyze flow cytometry files, by applying different analytical tools under the supervision of mentors. The areas covered during the course will include infectious, autoimmune and tumor diseases, as well as particular applications, such as the study of microvesicles and the use of flow cytometry in the veterinary and food processing fields.
