Wet intensive course

Flow cytometry is a complex and rapidly evolving technology that allows rapid, detailed and precise characterization of cell populations. Its use is increasing in diagnostic and research laboratories. Hence, the need to train potential users of flow cytometry with the necessary theoretical and practical skills.
This course is dedicated to persons who are starting to use this technology, with the aim to provide participants with: i) a theoretical explanation of the basics of conventional flow cytometry, adequate preparation of biological samples, and correct use of reagents; ii) individual activity in the laboratory for sample preparation; iii) individual activity at the flow cytometer for instrument setting operations and sample acquisition; iv) individual activity in the computer room for the analysis of flow cytometric data; v) collective discussion of cases and troubleshooting, to acquire skills in planning experiments and managing the most frequently encountered problems in the use of flow cytometry.
